Our Preschool Shakespeare Productions are beyond anything you might expect too find in an Early Education Program, even one as over the top as ours. After the first performance, it immediately became one of everyone's favorite parts of our entire program and through the years it has grown into something more spectacular (and absurd) than even we know what to do with.
Rainforest's
Shakespeare in the Park
Over the Years
Chicago has several Shakespeare theatre groups, but none of them put on a show quite like ours. It is, after all, hard to know precisely what Shakespeare envisioned while he was preparing his productions, but here at Rainforest, we truly believe that nothing brings his words truer to purpose than seeing Hamlet's 4 year old ghost-father howling float across the stage on a skateboard, soup cans in tow. Or watching a 5 year old Cesar, embraced one last time by toddler senator assassins, each with their lethal silly string cans, hidden beneath their robes.
We've some some magical moments on the stage over the years and best is still to come. We cant wait to show you what the student's at Rainforest have in store for our upcoming productions.

2020!
Shakespeare in the Park
The covid pandemic may have us all stuck inside and bored, but the show must go on! And with all this down time, what better opportunity could there be to LEARN OUR LINES!
Thats right, preparations for our 2020 Shakespeare in the park production are already under way and with that said, we're proud to announce that this year's highly anticipated spectacle will be a production of:
The Tempest
We will be sending everyone their assigned roles and lines very soon. If you lost or cant remember which lines your child has, please contact us and we'll let you know. A link to the script is below.
Due to the shutdown, we are holding back on announcing performance dates, but we do plan to be outside and on stage some time this summer!
